Hellingman Wins Prestigious PR Award
April 15, 2009

HAMILTON - Hellingman Communications Inc. was honoured with a Pinnacle Award in the recent Pinnacle Awards competition held by the Canadian Public Relations Society, Hamilton chapter.

Hellingman and its client, the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) won in the Audio Visual category for a video called "The CCAC and You: A Relationship You Can Trust." The video describes the role of community case managers, who see clients in their homes to assess them and develop home care service plans.

The video is used regularly by HNHB CCAC as an education tool with the general public and has received strong endorsement from audiences. "I have a mother living with us and she has the onset of short-term memory loss. After viewing this video, I will be contacting the CCAC for their guidance," wrote one viewer in an evaluation form.

"We're delighted to receive this award," says Hellingman Communications president Tricia Hellingman. "I'm extremely proud of the outstanding work that the team here at Hellingman is consistently producing for our clients. It's gratifying to be recognized by our peers, and it also puts a well-deserved spotlight on the HNHB CCAC."

The Pinnacle Awards competition is held annually and entries are judged by senior public relations practitioners from outside the Hamilton area. The Hellingman team has won several Pinnacle Awards in past years. The 2009 awards were presented at an awards ceremony in early April.

Hellingman Communications is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The agency provides strategic public relations, marketing and fund development services to clients throughout Ontario and beyond.
