Hellingman Communications has worked with the Catholic Youth Organization of Hamilton since mid-2006 on its plan to build Marydale Park - Ontario’s first barrier-free park (on Hamilton’s south mountain). After leading a four-month awareness-building campaign, we rolled out a $4.75-million capital campaign to build Marydale Park. We helped the C.Y.O. develop a major gift donor base; enhance the profile of the agency, and secure the largest gift in its 51-year history: a $2-million government grant. The park is scheduled to open in summer 2011.
